The initial meeting will take place at your home. The purpose of this visit is to discuss your goals, intended use, likes, dislikes, colors preferences, and most importantly to establish a relationship and a degree of trust. There is no fee for this visit. If you are interested in going forward, we ask for a design commission. Once the design commission is executed we will begin to take measurements and pictures in order to establish the base plan. Once the design is complete we will meet with you and present our final design concept along with estimates for the installation of your project. After any necessary changes, you will be presented with a proposal for the scope of the project we agree to. After this proposal is executed we move on to the garden planting stage. The design commission will then be used as a deposit toward the garden planting.

Depending on the scope of the project, we may be at your home anywhere from one day to a month or more. We pride ourselves on maintaining a clean job site and insure that you are comfortable with the condition of the site at the end of each work day. We take great care in our planting, paying particular attention to proper soil preparation, drainage, and the aesthetic arrangement of all materials. Our philosophy is not to rush through any planting in order to get to the next. Each planting deserves our fall attention. While we are on your project you are 'our only client.'

All landscapes, no matter how well designed, change over the years. Sunny areas become partially shaded, some perennials have limited life spans, a shrub has died, plants have outgrown their location, or your tastes have changed. We specialize in restoring older gardens. Working with the 'bones' of the garden, with appropriate pruning, selecting more appropriate perennials to match conditions, replacing overgrown shrubs with better choices, and improving the overall appearance of your original garden. We will work to improve soil conditions with the addition of compost or compost blends and incorporate native plants to increase biodiversity & encourage wildlife.

Once your garden is in place it is time to consider its long term care. We take great pride in the care of our clients' gardens, offering bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly programs. Every attempt is made to utilize the latest in sustainable maintenance practices. We provide a custom made blend of mulch/compost which enriches the soil along with providing the normal benefits of mulch. The plants can then extract the specific nutrients they require directly from the soil which eliminates the need for additional fertilizer. We are also eliminating the use of all petroleum based fertilizers and herbicides. As part of our program we will recommend planting to fill gaps and seasonal planting including bulbs, where appropriate.

When considering garden fighting we believe it is all about the design. We specialize in the design aspect, which provides a night time experience that will highlight your landscape, create a mood, and provide safety and security- We are "CAST Certified Landscape Lighting Installers" and continue to attend seminars and training sessions.
